Bali: A Curated Girls’ Getaway

A group of four friends came to me seeking the ultimate blend of relaxation, culture, and celebration. They wanted to explore Bali’s beaches, immerse in its spirituality, and still enjoy its glamorous nightlife. The vision was to create an itinerary that would allow each “babe” to feel celebrated and grounded — combining adventure, self-care, and connection with a touch of luxury.

The Challenge

Designing a travel experience that satisfied multiple personalities and different arrival dates while balancing both spiritual exploration and party vibes. The trip required coordinating staggered arrivals from different locations, creating a 9-day flow that moved from Bali’s serene heart in Ubud to its coastal energy in Seminyak, planning multiple birthday moments, and maintaining surprise while managing logistics for temple visits, healing rituals, and beach parties.

Quick Highlights

The Approach

1. Aligning the Vision

When the “Bali Babes” reached out, they already knew what they wanted — sun, beaches, and sisterhood — but not how to make it all fit into one cohesive experience.
My first task was to align their expectations, define the priorities (culture, rest, nightlife), and set the tone for what would become a transformational girls’ getaway.

Each traveler completed a pre-trip preferences quiz covering:

  • Travel personality (Explorer, Foodie, Wellness Seeker, or Party Enthusiast)

  • Budget comfort level

  • Must-have experiences vs. dealbreakers

  • Dream travel photos / content goals

This helped me design a balanced flow that combined adventure and downtime — the perfect “temple in the morning, tequila at night” kind of trip.

 2. Crafting the Itinerary

Once I understood the group’s personalities, I built the itinerary around energy levels and transitions: starting with spiritual Ubud, moving into vibrant Seminyak, and ending with a coastal crescendo in Uluwatu and Canggu.

Each destination served a purpose:

  • Ubud: grounding and cultural immersion (temples, blessings, rice terraces).

  • Seminyak: luxury and indulgence (dining, spa, beach clubs).

  • Uluwatu/Canggu: celebration and freedom (sunsets, ocean, final dinners).

I followed a pulse model for pacing the trip — alternating high-activity days (temple tours, excursions) with low-activity days (spa, yoga, and free time). This ensured the group stayed energized without feeling rushed

3. Building the Details

Every day was designed with the same level of thought as a micro-experience.
I included:

  • Outfit + etiquette suggestions for each activity (cultural sensitivity and Instagram readiness in balance).

  • Restaurant curation featuring a mix of fine dining and local gems (Mozaic, Sachi, Indigo Canggu).

  • Birthday personalization — each “babe” had a surprise dinner or celebration moment.

  • Useful Info cards — key contacts, language phrases, transport guidance, and safety reminders.

The itinerary itself was formatted like a digital travel guidebook, blending aesthetic layout with practical information. The result was something the group could live by during the trip and look back on as a keepsake.

4. On-Ground Coordination

Once the plan was finalized, I coordinated all logistics with local partners and drivers to ensure a seamless flow between activities. From pre-arranged temple sarongs to spa bookings and emergency support contacts, no detail was left to chance.I also built in intentional flexibility — optional yoga classes, photo ops, or rest hours — giving each guest autonomy within the group experience.

The Outcome

The “Bali Babes” returned home with hearts full and phones overflowing — a perfect mix of mindfulness and mischief.

Each traveler left with personalized memories: from spiritual awakenings in Ubud to champagne sunsets in Seminyak.

The project demonstrated how careful balance between structure and spontaneity can transform a group trip into an unforgettable sisterhood retreat.

A journey that nourished the soul, celebrated friendship, and left a trail of sand, laughter, and love across the Island of the Gods.

The Experience

  • Destination Selection
I designed an AI-assisted quiz to help the group choose their ideal destination based on their interests, budget, and time. The collective result pointed to Cairo, Egypt — a destination that combined history, exotic culture, and vibrant nightlife.
